Double-click Holdshot-1.1.1.dmg in Downloads.
Drag Holdshot into Applications. Replacing an older copy? Quit it first and choose Replace.
Open Holdshot from Applications. If macOS asks, click Open.
Holdshot is signed and notarized by Apple. Next, grant two permissions for capture.
Click Allow in Holdshot. Enable Holdshot in Accessibility. If missing, use + → Applications → Holdshot → Open.
Click Allow in Holdshot. In Screen & System Audio Recording, add Holdshot with + if missing, then enable it.
Quit and reopen if asked. With Holdshot enabled, close settings, then hold, drag, release, and paste into Notes with ⌘V.
